Munnaar was cool and misty as usual yesterday which is characteristic of this high altitude place. At the beginning of the morning the temperature was very low between 14 C and 17 C. I guess the day started with a light mist on the tea plantations and valleys and the landscape looked similar to a dream and was very serene. The moisture in the air made the levels of humidity moderate since it is a natural occurrence in the climate of Munnar.
After the sun rose the mist slowly started clearing away and the sunlight filtered through the hills. Temperature rose slowly towards later morning to between 20 C and 22 C. But it was not hot as in plains. Rather, the climate was fine and cool winds were blowing over the hills. These winds depend on availability of elevation of Munnar which is approximately 1600 above sea level hence much cooler than other adjacent cities such as Kochi.
